How we handle your information

What we collect

When you request a walkthrough, we collect what you type into the form: your name, email, and, if you add them, your phone number, brokerage, role, team size, interests and message. We also keep a one-way scrambled version of your internet address to stop spam; it can’t be turned back into the address.

Why we collect it

To reply to your request and arrange the walkthrough. If you tick the box for updates, we may also send you occasional news about Markland Street, and every message has a way to unsubscribe. We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t share it except with the services that run this site.

Where it’s kept

This site and its form run on Cloudflare. Your request is stored in Cloudflare’s database service, which may keep data outside Canada. Only Markland Street can see the requests.

How long we keep it

We keep a request for up to two years after our last contact, unless you become a client, in which case it becomes part of your client file. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

Cookies and analytics

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use this site: pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, and recordings of visits with anything you type hidden. Clarity sets cookies and sends this to Microsoft, which may process it outside Canada. We run no advertising and never use it for ads.

In Quebec, California, the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Clarity only runs if you choose Accept. Elsewhere it runs unless you opt out. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings, at the bottom of every page.

The site also remembers your light or dark choice, and your progress in the demo, in your own browser only. The demo uses fictional people, homes and deals.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw consent to updates. To do any of these, send us a request and say what you’d like.

For clients

If your team becomes a client, a separate agreement covers how client information in your files is handled, including consent for AI processing and the services we use.
